Here are my descriptions of each of these grills to help you figure out exactly what you have.
The basics differences between the Genesis Silvers are simple.
- Genesis Silver A: Two burners
- Genesis Silver B: Three burners
- Genesis Silver C: Three burners plus a side burner.
It is easy to identify Silver grills that were manufactured between 2000 and 2003 as they all have a dual purpose thermometer on the right side of the grill body.
There is a minor difference between the grills made in 2000-2001 and those made in 2002-2003 involving the ignition system. This article walks you through the differences in the ignition systems.
Silver grills manufactured after 2004 have thermometers located in the middle of the grill.
The storage area underneath Genesis Silver grills manufactured in 2004 is exposed. In 2005 Weber enclosed this storage area with cabinetry and doors.
The Owner’s Manuals for each of these grills are provided below. In 2005 Weber issued a single Owner’s Manual that covered all three Silver grills.
